The 6000 series respirators are used with twin (providing low breathing resistance) filters, which are fitted by a simple bayonet attachment system, which allows filters to just be clicked into place.
The respirators can be used with organic vapour, ammonia, acid and combination filters. All 3M 6000 Series filters can be used in combination with 3M 5911 (5000 series) particulate filters, using 501 filter holder. The replacement filters are extremely cost-effective.

The 3M 6000 series half masks are made of soft, elastomeric, hypo-allergic face piece material and include cradle head harness and easy fasten neck strap.
All 3M products have been tested to the relevant European Standard EN141, have been shown to meet the Basic Safety Requirements under Article 10 and 11 B of the European Community Directive 89/686, and are thus CE-marked.
